Achievements

Hosted more than 30 research projects, including the National Key R&D Program of China, projects of the National Basic Research Program of China(973 Program), and key projects of the Natural Science Foundation.

Established the management theory and technical method for complex water system as a scientific leader in the field of water resources engineering management in China, including integrated water resources management, the whole process management for water saving, and collaborative management of water and related factors.

Relevant research results have supported China’s water-saving society construction, the implementation of the most stringent water resources management, water ecological civilization construction, South-to-North Water Transfer and other major water resources policies and engineering practices, and contributed to national water security and protection.

Published more than 200 papers in well-known journals, among which more than 100 papers have been searched by SCI/EI, and won more than 30 national invention patents. Winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Science and technology innovation leader Ten-thousand Talents Program, and National outstanding scientific and technical workers.
