Brief Introduction to Research Interests and Academic Achievements |
Prof. Cao is an expert in the field of water and soil conservation, hydraulics, and sediment transport. He developed a distributed model for soil erosion and sediment yield and several numerical models for 1D and 2D representations of river, reservoir and estuary sedimentation problems. Prof. Cao has more than 30 years experience in the development and application of these models to basin planning, river regulation, sediment problems in engineering projects, and comprehensive utilization of water/sediment resources. |
