Brief Introduction to Research Interests and

Academic

Achievements

Prof. Zhang Guoxin is mainly engaged in high performance calculation of complex hydraulic structures, simulation analysis of temperature and stress during construction and operation of concrete dams and stress of complex materials, modern numerical methods and so on.

He has presided over and participated in dozens of scientific research projects entrusted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Water Resources. The self-developed simulation system SAPTIS for temperature field and stress field of concrete structure and the program ADESAS for equivalent stress analysis of arch dam have been successfully applied in dozens of large-scale Water Conservancy Projects.

In addition, the research on numerical popular method (NMM) and discontinuous deformation analysis method (DDA) has been highly praised by the peers. Manifold 2D and iDDA have important influence in relevant area.
