Achievements

Prof. Lu, with a strong educaton background in water resources from both top Chinese and overseas universities, has worked more than 35 years in hydroinformatics. His current research intesests include: remote sensing monitoring of flood and drought disasters, remote sensing driven hydrologic modeling, remote sensing based soil erosion mapping and irrigation management, cross time and space quantitative remote sensing applications, etc.

He has already published more than 100 papers in his academic career and obtained 7 times of offical awards in the last 10 years. As the leading remote sensing specilist within the China Ministry of Water Resources, he is also the director of Remote Sensing Center of IWHR.
