Achievements

DENG Gang’s research interest is focused on characteristics and modelling of material used in embankment dams and other structures of hydraulic and hydropower engineering. The numerical simulation and risk analysis of engineering structure is also his research interest. Microscopic mechanism and process simulation of catastrophe of embankment dams and other structure, such as internal erosion, is one of the current research project. He also does some research on management of dam safety and emergency.

More than 70 papers were published, including more than 10 SCI index papers. 6 invention patents and 13 utility model patents were authorized. 3 science and technology awards at the provincial or ministerial level were gotten. He was also an awardee of Wang Wenshao outstanding youth thesis award.
