Brief Introduction to Research Interests and Academic Achievements |
Our research group is dedicated to developing innovative measurement methodologies for key hydraulic and sedimentological parameters, including grain-scale particle kinematics, bedload transport rates, suspended sediment concentration profiles, bedform morphology, turbulent flow structures, and surface flow velocities. These methodologies integrate recent advances in digital image processing, computer vision, and information technologies. Utilizing these techniques, we investigate the mechanics of sediment transport and riverbed evolution, with particular emphasis on the armoring processes in non-uniform bedload transport, unsteady flow–sediment interactions, the influence of channel curvature and riparian vegetation on riverbed adjustment, as well as reservoir sedimentation, sediment-related challenges in water intake engineering, and other practical sediment management issues in fluvial and hydraulic systems. |
