Brief Introduction to Research Interests and

Academic

Achievements

Research interests:

I mainly engage in scientific research and consulting in geotechnical engineering, especially for Embankment and Dams, Geological Disasters, and Geoenvironmental Engineering, including onset of suffusion under complex stress conditions and its micro-mechanics, multi-scale modelling of internal erosion induced dam breaking, mechanism and risk evaluation of rainfall-induced landslides, hazard evaluation of tailings dam and fly ash dam.

Academic achievement:

As the project leader, I have presided over one project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, three innovation team projects and free exploration projects of the State Key Laboratory of Basin Water Cycle Simulation and Regulation, and three scientific research special projects of the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research. As the sub-project leader and a key participant, I have completed or are currently undertaking dozens of national and provincial-level scientific research projects in the water conservancy, hydropower and power industries, including two major national research and development programs. Three national "973" projects, three national science and Technology Support Program projects during the "11th Five-Year Plan" and "12th Five-Year Plan" periods, three major and general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and one "948" project of the Ministry of Water Resources.

In recent years, a total of 64 academic papers have been published, among which 22 are indexed by SCI and 16 by EI. As the first author or corresponding author, 9 are indexed by SCI and 7 by EI. The highest citation of a single SCI paper as the first author is over 120 times. Reviewer for《Engineering Geology》、《Landslides》、《Geotextiles and Geomembranes》、《Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering》.
