Brief Introduction to Research Interests and Academic Achievements |
Fundamental mechanism of sediment transport is key theoretical basses for river harness and management, whereas intensive measurement for the interaction between movement of flow and sediment is crucial for these researches. Our group focus on developing innovation measurement methods for these key parameters, such as grain scale particles movement information, bedload transport rate, concentration profile of suspended load, the bedform morphology, turbulence, velocity of flow surface, by make using of recent developed digital image processing and computer information technologies. Based on these techniques, we carried out sediment transport mechanics and riverbed evolution related researches, including armor process of non-uniform bedload transport, unsteady flow and sediment transport, influences of bend and vegetation on riverbed evolution, as well as reservoir sedimentation, sediment issues about water intaking and other sediment related engineering problems. |
