(Communication and discussion)

Dr. Cuevas systematically introduced the history, scientific capability, specialty discipline, training plans with other universities in China, and international teaching program. The Polytechnic University of Madrid, the largest and oldest polytechnic university in Spain, was established in 1971. It is also the top university concerning the engineering technology and natural science. The Polytechnic University of Madrid can maintain the leading role in Spanish higher education relying on its abundant teaching resources and comprehensive strengths. Engineering majors such as architecture, civil engineering, machinery, aeronautics and astronautics and energy attain the highest levels in Spain and Europe and even in the world. Its agricultural engineering and civil engineering share the common research domain with IWHR. Therefore, the Dean expects the Polytechnic University of Madrid can strengthen the scientific research cooperation, enhance the communication between youth talents, and improve further development.

Attendees also exchanged their ideas in terms of international students’ exchange activities, procedures and methods of exchange, cultivation and management, and discipline co-development. Both sides hope that the reciprocal visits will be conducted soon to promote further cooperation.
