On March 4th, 2025, the opening ceremony for the 2025 International Exchange Student Program of IWHR was held in Room 714 at the Graduate School. Prof. PENG Wenqi, Chief Engineer of IWHR, and Professor Philippe Gourbesville, President of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR), attended the event and delivered speeches. The ceremony was also attended by the Division of International Cooperation, the Graduate School, exchange students from the University of C?te d'Azur and Incheon National University, and international students from IWHR.
Prof. PENG Wenqi extended a warm welcome to the exchange students from various countries who have traveled across vast oceans to embark on their academic journey in China. He introduced the distinctive educational features and resources advantages of IWHR and expressed his hope that these outstanding students from all around the globe can engage in academic and intellectual exchange on the international platform established by IWHR. Over the next three months, IWHR will adopt a teaching model that combines theoretical discussions with case studies, aiming to assist the exchange students in gaining a profound understanding of the cutting-edge theories and innovative technologies in the fields of hydroinformatics and water resources management. Through academic exploration and cross-cultural practice, they are expected to achieve fruitful and rewarding outcomes.
